Seattle - Santa Barbara - New York
- An exceedingly original example
- One of the most highly optioned early Porsches we’ve come across, including a factory sunroof, 5-speed, Fuchs wheels, wood steering wheel and leather interior
- Limited ownership since new, and long term single family ownership with just 93,000 original miles
- Complete with all original manuals, the service book, tool kit, travel pares kit and more
- A numbers-matching example
- One of the finest 912s in existence
This 1968 Porsche 912 was ordered new through Porsche Cars Northwest for a gentleman in in eastern Washington. The car was ordered new in Sand Beige with Fuchs wheels, a sunroof, full black leather interior, fog lights, 5-speed gearbox, 5-gauges, as well as the wood wheel and shift knob. It is one of the most highly optioned 911s or 912s we have ever come across.
The first owner and his family retained the car until the early 2000s when we acquired the car. Roughly 10 years ago we sold the 912 to a significant west coast collector with a large Porsche collection amongst other European sports and sports racing cars. Several years ago we were able to re-aquire the car.
An all original car, including the paint and interior with exception of front seats which have been properly redone in leather. The car has approximately 93,000 miles, but with the level of preservation and fantastic driving feel, one might think it was near new.
The 912 is complete with all original books, service book and tools, including spares kit, the original selling dealer's business card, an original Porsche Cars Northwest license plate frame, touch up paint, and sunroof tool. The matching numbers car is further documented by the Kartex and CoA.
It is the finest original 912 I have ever seen and among the best original early Porsches, particularly with the few highly optioned cars out there.
