'50 years of Daytona' by Steven John Posson,
“50 Years of Daytona,” depicts Roger Reiman and Carroll Resweber wheel-to-wheel at the first superspeedway event in 1961. The riders are flat-out; Reiman’s throttle is locked open, and both hands grip the stubby, flat bars on the lower triple clamp. Resweber, tucked even tighter, twists the throttle as he attempts to draft past his fellow Harley Davidson rider.
Posson’s tribute to the two great racers is 24 inches long, has a walnut base, weighs about 80 pounds and originally sold for $9000. This bronze, number seven out of ten is in stunning condition.
